MOCA

Have you visited the Museum of Contemporary Art recently? If not, you totally should! Let me begin by saying that admission to the MOCA is totally free. Yeah, you heard that right. In 2019, MOCA received a 10 million dollar gift from MOCA Board of Trustees President Carolyn Powers (Vankin, 2019).

Now, it is easy for us to access the museum. All you have to do is get a timed entry ticket online. Here is the website for you: https://moca.ticketapp.org/portal/pages/tickets. My friend and I were not aware of this initially, but were lucky to get tickets at the ticket window as we were at the museum pretty early. I do not recommend this; just reserve the time that works best for you.

The museum has some awesome exhibitions currently on view. You should note that there is one museum but there are 3 locations; MOCA Grand Ave, The Geffen Contemporary, and Warehouse at The Geffen Contemporary. There is a free shuttle that takes you to all of these locations. Have a wonderful time at MOCA, and while you’re at it; get free timed tickets for The Broad next door too.
